<p>Shields, a top 10 welterweight for most of the past decade and former middleweight champion of <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/mma/promotion/strikeforce">Strikeforce</a>, is off to a slow start in the UFC. He barely squeaked past <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122581/martin-kampmann">Martin Kampmann</a> in his debut then lost to champion <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122591/georges-st-pierre">Georges St. Pierre</a> in a lackluster, but one-sided, performance.</p>
<p>Ellenberger has really thrived in the UFC. A young fighter who had to fight for several years before getting his big break, Ellenberger is definitely in title contention and a win over Shields could put him in the cage with GSP in short order.</p>
