A pair of contests has been revealed for the fight card of UFC on FX 2.
British heavyweight Oli Thompson has been scheduled to make his UFC debut against Strikeforce veteran Shawn Jordan, according to reports from ESPN. Additionally, Australian middleweight Kyle Noke recently divulged a bout with Jared Hamman set for the March event. UFC officials have yet to publicly confirm either match-up.
A former champion strongman, the 32-year-old Thompson (9-2) enters the UFC a five-fight win streak capped by a first-round submission of Mark Potter in June. He'll take on Jordan (12-3), a 27-year-old veteran of both Bellator and Strikeforce with three wins over his last four bouts, including a second-round submission victory over Lavar Johnson at Strikeforce Challengers 19.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Noke (19-5-1) hopes to get back on track after having a five-fight win streak snapped by a brutal inverted heel hook loss to Ed Herman at UFC on Versus 5. He'll face Hamman (13-4), a 29-year-old known as "The Messenger" with alternating wins and losses over his five UFC appearances. Hamman last fought in December, falling victim to a devastating first-round TKO at the hands of Constantinos Philippou.
