A light-heavyweight contest between former King of the Cage champion Mike Kyle (19-8-1) and former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi (32-3-2) has been added to the fight card of Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey.

Kyle announced the news via Twitter on Monday. Strikeforce officials have not confirmed if the bout will be for the promotion's vacant light heavyweight title.

A 31-year-old veteran out of American Kickboxing Academy, Kyle enters having recently defeated Marcos Rogerio de Lima to cap a 5-1 run over his last six fights. While the on-again, off-again heavyweight only carries a modest 3-3-1 record under the Strikeforce banner, he fought to second-round knockout victory over former champion Rafael Cavalcante in 2009.

Across the cage, current DREAM champion Mousasi makes a quick return to work after edging Ovince St. Preux via unanimous decision in December. The 26-year-old has tasted defeat just once in his last 21 appearances, a 2010 loss to Muhammed Lawal that cost "The Dreamcatcher" his Strikeforce title.

In addition, a lightweight bout between Ryan Couture (3-1) and Conor Heun (9-4) has been booked for the March event, according to reports from MMA Fighting.

The 29-year-old Couture, son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, returns to the cage for the first time since defeating Maka Watson via majority decision in September. He'll take on Heun, a 32-year-old who previously snapped a two-fight losing streak with a decision win over Magno Almeida.

Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey takes place March 3rd, 2012 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate defends her belt against undefeated prospect Ronda Rousey in the night's main event.
