The second international season of The Ultimate Fighter appears to be on it's way.

UFC officials are currently finalizing negotiations to hold an Australia-based version of the long-running reality show, according to reports from BjPenn.com.

In the spirit of TUF 9, the potential international season will pit Australia vs. United Kingdom. Filming will take place in Australia and is targeted for mid-to-late 2012 if all goes well.

"We're getting pretty far along. We're not in the position to announce anything," UFC Managing Director of International Relations Marshall Zelaznik said in early 2011.

"There's a lot of interest in the U.K. for it and a lot of interest for it here in Australia. We think it would be a massive, massive hit and could take us to the next level here."

If a broadcast deal is finalized, the UFC would likely hold the season finale at Brisbane's Brisbane Entertainment Center. A United States broadcast schedule has yet to be decided, however the show would likely air on Fuel TV, similar to TUF: Brazil.

UFC officials have yet to announce coaches or weight classes for the upcoming season.
