UFC rookies Buddy Roberts and Sean Loeffler will meet in a middleweight contest at UFC on Fuel TV 1, according to reports from MMA Weekly. UFC officials have yet to confirm the match-up.
An established and well-rounded finisher, Greg Jackson protégé Roberts (11-2) has collected four knockouts and five submissions to highlight his 11 wins. The 29-year-old now rides into the UFC on the wings of a five-fight win streak, punctuated by a unanimous decision win over Tony Lopez last July.
Across the cage, the 29-year-old Loeffler (25-5) finally enters the Octagon after a remarkable run on the regional scene. Altogether, 24 of "The Destroyer's" 25 wins have come via stoppage, with an astounding 21 ending in the first round. He last fought in September's Gladiator Challenge show, where he needed just seven seconds to knockout Marquis McKnight.
UFC on Fuel TV 1 is slated for February 15th at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. Welterweight contenders Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez square off in the night's main event.
