UFC On Fox Fight Card: Cub Swanson Vs. Ricardo Lamas Official For Anaheim

A third bout has been added to the card of the UFC's historic debut on Fox. WEC featherweight standouts Cub Swanson (15-4) and Ricardo Lamas (10-2) have been booked for the November 12th event. UFC officials announced the contest on Monday.

A three-time ‘Fight of the Night' winner in the WEC, Swanson has built a reputation for his high-energy, blitzing style. The 27-year-old currently trains with Greg Jackson in Palm Springs, California and has collected a 2-2 record over his last four contests, including a split decision victory over Mackens Semerzier last November. Since then Swanson has been slotted for two separate UFC events but was forced to pull out from both after sustaining injuries in training camp.

He squares off against Lamas, a longtime lightweight under the WEC banner. Known as "The Bully," the 29-year-old enters the bout having won four of his last five contests, including a first-round knockout of Matt Grice at his UFC debut in June. The bout marked Lamas' return to the featherweight division, a change made after dropping to strikes from Yuri Alcantara in the opening minutes of their WEC 53 lightweight tilt.

UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos is slated for November 12th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Headlining is a high-profile battle between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos live on Fox for the UFC heavyweight championship.
