Strikeforce Challengers 19 Payroll And Medical Suspensions

Lorenz Larkin, Lavar Johnson, and Ryan Couture all walked away the top-earners from Friday's Strikeforce Challengers 19 card, taking home a reported $10,000 in purse money. According to figures released on Monday by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), the total payroll for the event was $97,500.

Larkin earned a base salary of $5,000 for his headlining bout against late replacement Nick Rossborough, along with an additional $5,000 win bonus for claiming the unanimous decision victory. Both Couture and Johnson earned flat rates of $10,000 for their participation.

Also released by the NSAC on Monday was the medical suspension list from Strikeforce's nineteenth Challengers show. After an unusually brutal night, eleven competitors lined the list, including light heavyweight headliner Rossborough, along with featured fighters Johnson, Couture, and Shawn Jordan.

Strikeforce Challengers 19 was held September 23rd at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Strikeforce Challengers 19 Medical Suspensions:

Nick Rossborough - Suspended until Oct. 24 with no contact prior to Oct. 15 due to a forehead laceration.

Shawn Jordan - Must have the third metacarpal on his left hand x-rayed to rule out a fracture. If results are positive, he must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor.

Lavar Johnson - Must have an orthopedic doctor clear his right elbow and right knee or he is suspended until March 23, 2012. He faces a minimum suspension until Oct. 15 with no contact prior to Oct. 8.

Ryan Couture - Suspended until Nov. 6 with no contact prior to Oct. 24 due to three forehead lacerations.

Todd Moore - Suspended until Oct. 24 with no contact prior to Oct. 15 due to left scalp laceration.

Brian Melancon - Must have first finger on right hand x-rayed to rule out a fracture or no contest prior to March 23, 2012.

James Terry - Suspended until Oct. 24 with no contact prior to Oct. 15 due to left eyebrow cut and lower right eye cut.

Magno Almeida - Must have left wrist x-rayed to rule out a fracture. If results are positive, he must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest prior to March 23, 2012.

Bobby Green - Must have both hands x-rayed to rule out fractures to the third metacarpal on his right hand and fourth and fifth metacarpals on his left hand. If results are positive, he must receive a doctor's clearance.

Quinn Mulhern - Suspended until Nov. 6 with no contact prior to Oct. 24 due to a scalp laceration.

Danny Davis, Jr. - Suspended until Oct. 24 with no contact prior to Oct. 15.
