UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones makes his first title defense against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson tonight at Denver Colorado's Pepsi Center. The 24-year-old Jones (13-1, 7-1 UFC) has cruised to the top of the UFC's marquee division at a remarkably young age. His sole loss came via disqualification in a fight he was winning handily. So far we've seen no vulnerabilities in Jones' MMA game.
The 33-year-old Jackson (32-8, 7-2 UFC) is a ten year veteran of the sport who was one of the mainstays of Pride's middleweight (200lb) division. He is also a former UFC light heavyweight champ. This is his first shot at the title since losing it to Forrest Griffin in 2008.
Look for Jones to use his gigantic reach advantage to dictate the range of the fight. Jackson has a good chance if he can get in close and put his boxing to work, but Jones has many many weapons from the outside.
