Join MMA Nation for a live UStream chat with Michael Bisping, one of the two coaches of the fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), today, September 22th at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. Bisping will be coaching opposite fellow middleweight Jason "Mayhem" Miler, who hosted his own live UStream chat on Wednesday. The two are scheduled to fight at The Utimate Fighter 14 Finale on December 3rd in Las Vegas. The event will air live on Spike TV.
TUF 14 debuted Wednesday night with a two-hour premiere featuring sixteen preliminary bantamweight and featherweight fights to determine which eight competitors in each weight class enter the house. MMA Nation's own TUF blogger, Akira Corassani, defeated Brian Pearman by knockout in the opening stages of the first round.
This is Bisping's third encounter with TUF. The 32-year-old Englishman first rose to prominence with his run to the finals of TUF 3, eventually winning the tournament with a second-round TKO of Josh Haynes. Three years later he returned to the show as a coach, competing opposite American legend Dan Henderson in the "U.K vs. U.S." themed ninth season. Bisping's fighters eventually claimed both season tourney titles, though the coach personally fell victim to a brutal knockout at the hands of Henderson at UFC 100.
Since then Bisping has bounced-back, winning four of his last five, including three straight over the likes of Dan Miller, Yoshihiro Akiyama, and Jorge Rivera. His fight against Akiyama garnered the third "Fight of the Night" bonus of the Brit's career.
