An average of 1.8 million viewers tuned in for UFC Fight Night 25 which featured a headliner between Jake Ellenberger and Jake Shields. Spike TV officials released the ratings for the event yesterday. The event garnered a 1.2 household rating and was #1 in its time slot among men ages 18-34. It was #2 in its time slot among men ages 18-49.

The ratings were down from the 2011 average for UFC Fight Nights. UFC Fight Night 23 drew 1.85 million viewers in January, and UFC Fight Night 24 drew 2.2 million in March. Both of those events aired on Spike TV.
The event took place in New Orleans, Louisiana and featured three other fights in addition to the Shields vs. Ellenberger headliner: Dongi Yang vs. Court McGee, Jonathan Brookins vs. Erik Koch and Alan Belcher vs. Jason MacDonald.
The event faced tough competition from Bellator, NCAA college football and most of all the Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz boxing pay-per-view.
