UFC 139 Fight Card: Without Velasquez Vs. Dos Santos, Dana White Promises New Main Event

After Friday's announcement that the UFC's scheduled heavyweight championship bout between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos has been shifted from UFC 139 to the featured fight of UFC on Fox, the once-anticipated November 19th card suddenly finds itself without a main event.

Thus far a bantamweight contender bout between former-WEC champions Brian Bowles (10-1) and Urijah Faber (25-5) highlight the action. Also featured, Martin Kampmann (17-5) vs. Rick Story (13-4), and Ryan Bader (12-2) vs. Jason Brilz (18-4-1).

Nonetheless, UFC President Dana White stated during Friday's press conference that the promotion intends to give UFC 139 a new headlining bout that fans will embrace. In his words, "No card is ever finished until we announce it."

UFC 139 is scheduled for November 19th at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
