UFC 134 Drug Tests Clean For Anderson Silva, Five Others

Results for the UFC 134 drug tests from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil have been finalized and all six fighters involved came back clean. According to reports from MMA Weekly, UFC Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner confirmed the results on late Thursday afternoon.

The UFC customarily organizes drug tests through state sanctioned athletic commissions, however given that no such commission presides over Brazil, the promotion elected to oversee their own testing.

Per Ratner, six UFC fighters were tested for the event, including main event participants Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami. Four others were selected at random.

Testing covered a myriad of banned substances, including performing enhancing drugs, cocaine, and marijuana.

UFC 134 was held August 27, 2011 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the night's featured bout, Anderson "The Spider" Silva defeated Yushin Okami via second round knockout to retain the UFC middleweight championship.
