Strikeforce Barnett Vs. Kharitonov Medical Suspensions: Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva Out 60 Days

The Ohio Athletic Commission handed down precautionary medical suspensions to four fighters following the aftermath of ‘Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov' on Saturday night. The news was first reported by MMAJunkie.com.

Co-main event competitor Antonio ‘Bigfoot' Silva headlines the list of suspensions after receiving a 60-day layoff as a result of a knockout loss to Daniel Cormier. Yoel Romero received a similar suspension for his TKO setback against former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Rafael Cavalcante.

Undercard participants Evangelista Santos and Amanda Nunes each received 30-day suspensions for knockout losses against Yoel Romero Palacio and Alexis Davis, respectively.

‘Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov' was held September 10th at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. The night's main card was broadcasted nationally on Showtime and headlined by a heavyweight grand prix semifinal fight between Josh Barnett and Sergei Kharitonov.
