The final fight of the main card and the main event itself for Strikeforce Grand Prix: Barnett vs. Kharitonov is Josh Barnett vs. Sergei Kharitonov. This is obviously a heavyweight fight and Barnett is the second-heaviest competitor on the card. This is one half of the grand prix's semifinal bracket. Barnett enters this fight as the favorite and the tournament favorite itself with the witdrawal of Alistair Overeem.
In this video, I argue this is Barnett's fight to lose. As talented as Kharitonov is, his chin is tappable, his defensive boxing porous and most importantly, he's nowhere close to the wrestler or grappler Barnett is. That isn't to say Barnett couldn't be drawn into a firefight, but given Barnett's strategy against Gilbert Yvel, that seems unlikely. Barnett may not finish Kharitonov, but he should at least win a comfortable decision and move into the finals of the heavyweight grand prix.
