ROUND 1 - Menjivar starts the action with a glancing head kick after the pair immediately lock up. Pace seems fine. The pair both attempt throws, but are unsuccessful. Pace lands a nice left hook. Menjivar misses with a straight kick. His leg kick finds its mark. Paces whiffs with a left hook and Menjivar nails him with a low blow. After a short break, the fight resumes. Both fighters lock up and Pace is able to secure a takedown. He's now on top. Pace passes his guard, Menjivar rolls to his belly, and Pace immediately takes his back and locks up a body triangle. Menjivar gets to his feet, with Pace on his back, and attempts to avoid the rear naked choke. He does, but he's not out of the woods yet. Now Pace finally falls off his back and the two head back to the center of the cage. Menjivar lands a nice body shot as the rounds ends.

ROUND 2 - ROUND 2 - Both fighters feel each other out to start the second. Not much going on in the opening minute after a frenetic first five minutes. Menjivar finally starts to find his rhythm and Pace is just covering up along the fence. Now big knees from Menjivar and Pace is slow to avoid them. He finally steps the side and they work their way back to the center of the cage. Menjivar misses with an axe kick and lands with a leg kick. Pace finally snaps out of it and goes for, and gets, a takedown. Pace, in top position, attempts a choke, but Menjivar pops his head out. He postures up and lands a flurry of punches before the horn blares. Probably too little, too late, to win that round.

ROUND 3 - Menjivar uncorks another crafty kick to start the third, but it is ineffective. He lands a nice kick to the body, which Pace catches, and attempts to use for a takedown. It's unsuccessful. Menjivar attempts another crescent kick, as well as several leg kicks. Now he digs a left to the body. Menjivar once again lands an accidental low blow and the action is stopped. Back to fighting, Menjivar misses with a winging right hand. Menjivar lands another leg kick and pumps his jab into thin air rapidly. He backs up Pace to the cage, but he wisely circles out. Pace gets Menjivar in the clinch and nails him with a brutal knee to Menjivar's eye. Menjivar is hurt! He can't see and is now on the run. His eye is already closed. Bad injury. Pace is furiously trying to hunt him down, but Menjivar is doing a great job of alluding him. Flying knee from pace and the fight ends. Great action to finish the fight. Menjivar has a nice mouse already formed under his left eye.
