UFC On Versus 6 Fight Card: Josh Neer Vs. Keith Wisniewski Tapped For Washington D.C.

Two men who made their UFC debut seven years ago are now ready to return to the Octagon. Josh Neer (31-10-1) and Keith Wisniewski (28-12-1) have been targeted for a welterweight bout on the undercard of ‘UFC on Versus 6', according to reports by MMA Junkie.

Known as "The Dentist," Neer has compiled a 4-6 record throughout his numerous stints in the UFC, with the most recent being a unanimous decision loss to Gleison Tibau at UFC 104. Since then the 28-year-old has turned in one of the best stretches of his career, winning six of his last seven bouts to earn a new four-fight UFC contract.

Wisniewski last entered the Octagon at UFC 56, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Nick Thompson. The loss set off a career-worst five fight losing streak, during which the 29-year-old was notably defeated by Strikeforce contender Jorge Masvidal and former UFC welterweight Rory Markham. He has since reversed his fortunes, ripping through a streak of six straight wins, including a unanimous decision victory over UFC veteran Chris Wilson in April.

UFC on Versus 6 is scheduled for October 1st at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.. It is headlined by the promotion's first free title fight since 2007 -- a highly-anticipated bantamweight bout between Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson.
