Video: UFC 133, The Movie

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is pulling out all the viral stops to draw attention to its upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event in Philadelphia, Pa., on Aug. 6, 2011.

UFC 133: "Evans vs. Ortiz 2," which will take place at the Wells Fargo Center, has been ravaged by last-minute changes. Its main event, as well as co-featured fight of the night, have been reshuffled and scratched, respectively.

That’s just the tip of a very large injury iceberg.

Interest among most fans, up until now, has felt tepid and clammy. And with just a few nights until showtime, you can bet the promotion will shift its marketing machine into overdrive starting right now.

The above video, which was shared by UFC President Dana White via his official Twitter account earlier today, is a creative twist on the typical testosterone-fueled event trailers.

It features Mark Wahlberg as Tito Ortiz and Cuba Gooding Jr. as Rashad Evans. Antonio Banderas plays the role of Vitor Belfort, while Chia Hui Liu serves as Yoshihiro Akiyama.

The All-Star cast also includes Ron Burgundy (Mike Goldberg), Jeremy Piven (Joe Rogan), Jessica Alba (Arianny Celeste), Peter Dinklage (Joe Silva), Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino (Lorenzo Fertitta) and last, but certainly not least, Samuel L. Jackson (Dana White).

UFC 133 certainly won’t be a box office smash, but it’s certainly not for lack of effort.
