UFC 139 Fight Card: Rafael Dos Anjos Vs. Gleison Tibau Booked For November

A lightweight contest between Rafael dos Anjos and Gleison Tibau has been scheduled for UFC 139.

A lightweight matchup between veteran Brazilian fighters Rafael dos Anjos (15-5) and Gleison Tibau (23-7) has officially been scheduled for UFC 139UFC.com reported the news late Tuesday afternoon.

"Two of the best Brazilian lightweights in the UFC have verbally agreed to fight as Rafael Dos Anjos takes on Gleison Tibau at UFC 139," confirmed UFC president Dana White through the company's website.

Dos Anjos enters the bout on the heels of a shocking 59 second knockout of lightweight contender George Sotiropoulos at UFC 132. The win was the fourth in the 26-year-old's last five fights, and was the first knockout victory of his career.

He hopes to carry that momentum against his fellow countryman, Tibau. A 28-year-old American Top Team product, Tibau is known as one of the largest and strongest lightweights in the UFC. He is currently riding high on a two-fight win streak, including a victory over Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 130 that earned Submission of the Night honors.

UFC 139 will be held November 19th at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. It is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight championship bout between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos. Welterweight contender Jon Fitch has also been rumored for the event.

Updated UFC 139 fight card:
