Salaries for Strikeforce Challengers 18 were released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission early Monday morning. The total disclosed payroll for the event was $92,000, according to reports.
Pat Healy and Gian Villante topped the salary list with reported earnings of $10,000 apiece -- both in part to receiving $5,000 win bonuses for their performances.
A 28-year-old veteran of the UFC and WEC, Healy defeated Eric Wisely via unanimous decision on the event's main card. Villante, a 25-year-old former professional football prospect, bested Keith Berry via unanimous decision on the night's undercard.
Strikeforce Challengers 18 was held August 12th at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, and aired live on Showtime. It was headlined by a lightweight contest between Joe Duarte and Jorge Gurgel. Duarte defeated the UFC veteran via unanimous decision.
