The second fight of the night for UFC on Versus 5 is a lightweight bout, Jacob Volkmann vs. Danny Castillo, streaming live on Facebook. Both fighters enter the cage riding high on a three fight win streak. The referee overseeing the action is Mario Yamasaki.

ROUND 1 - Volkmann rushes right into the clinch of Castillo, but Castillo fights it off. Castillo feigns a shot and lands an inside leg kick. Castillo pushing with his jab, finding his range. Volkmann shoots in an takes Castillo down. Volkmann lands on top and smothers Castillo, looking for a darce choke. He has it deep. Castillo is fighting it off, but its close. Volkmann almost has the choke despite not having his legs in. Castillo continues to work, and he squirms out of it. Castillo sweeps to top position and stands back up. The two men stand up in the center of the Octagon. Castillo throws Volkmann against the cage and lands a big body kick. Castillo shoots for the takedown but Volkmann sprawls to the ground. Castillo still trying for the takedown with ten seconds left but Volkmann maintaining control. The round ends.

ROUND 2 - Volkmann with some bounce in his step as round two begins. Volkmann just misses with the uppercut. Castillo lands a big standing elbow. Castillo clinches Volkmann and takes him down. Volkmann lands with another darce choke in the works. Castillo recognizes it and pulls his head out. Yamasaki warns Castillo not to grab the shorts of Volkmann. Volkmann stands up, pulling Castillo up with him. Volkmann gets Castillo back to the ground, but Castillo scrambles into top position. The grappling scramble moves into the center of the cage and Volkmann gets the better of the exchange. Volkmann on top looking to ground and pound. Castillo clinging to Volkmann, keeping the space at a minimum. Volkmann tries to pull another darce choke. Castillo looks like he's in trouble, but spins out of it. Volkmann tries yet another darce. This one looks promising. Volkmann trying to secure the choke. Ten seconds left. Castillo manages to survive the round.

ROUND 3 - Round three begins and Castillo lands an uppercut to the body. Castillo just misses a superman punch. Castillo misses a combination and lands an inside leg kick. Volkmann shoots in for the takedown but Castillo dodges it. Castillo land another leg kick, but Volkmann shoots in for the takedown and gets it this time. Volkmann lands on top and pushes for the darce choke again. Volkmann elbowing the side of Castillo's head from the top. Volkmann squeezing hard for the choke. Castillo tries to spin out but Volkmann is moving to control Castillo's legs. The choke is in deep. Castillo spins again and somehow gets his head free. Volkmann pursues and throws on yet another choke attempt. Castillo hanging in. Ten seconds left in the round. Castillo gives up his back but the round is over.
