Strikeforce: Fedor Vs. Henderson Attendance And Live Gate

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced that Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson was seen by 8,311 fans in attendance for a $638,470 live gate at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill., in Chicago-land.

The Illinois State Athletic Commission is expected to announce official figures for the event in the coming days. If these numbers bear out, it will have been the third best attended Strikeforce show of the year. Average ticket prices are estimated to have been about $75.

"Fedor vs. Henderson" was the promotion's second trip to the Sears Centre Arena. They first ventured there for Fedor's debut with the promotion against Brett Rogers in November of 2009. No attendance figures were released for that event, which aired on CBS televsion.

The card was one of the most stacked in the promotion's history although it suffered from the post-ponement of Muhammed Lawal vs. Roger Gracie. Gracie pulled out with an injury.

Paul Daley, who lost to Tyron Woodley in a welterweight title-eliminator bout, was originally to have faced Evangelista Santos.
