Strikeforce Heavyweigh Grand Prix Semi-Finals Headed To Cincinnati In September

Strikeforce announced today via press release that the semi-finals for the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix would be held September 10th in Cincinnati, Ohio at the U.S. Bank Arena. As part of the tournament, Josh Barnett will face Sergei Kharitonov and Antonio Silva will face former alternate Daniel Cormier.

Also appearing on the card will be Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo Souza defending his title against AKA-product Luke Rockhold. Amateur wrestling standout "King" Muhammed Lawal will take on arguably the best pure grappler on the planet, Roger Gracie in a light heavyweight match.

Typically Strikeforce events begin their televised portion at 10 p.m. ET, however, this event will kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET. The event will be delayed on the West Coast.

Tickets are priced at $200, $125, $75 and $35, and go on sale Friday, July 29 at 12 p.m. ET.
