UFC On FX Fight Card: Charlie Brenneman Vs. Daniel Roberts Slated For January

Two UFC veterans will look to get back into the win column at the UFC's debut on FX.

According to reports from Ariel Helwani, slumping welterweight contender Charlie Brenneman has agreed to meet Daniel Roberts at UFC on FX on January 20th. UFC officials have yet to confirm the bout.

Brenneman (14-3), an AMA Fight Club product out of Pennsylvania, kickstarted his surprising run to contention with an upset win over Rick Story at UFC on Versus 4. "The Spaniard" accepted the bout on less than a days notice following Nate Marquardt's abrupt release from the UFC. However, Brenneman's momentum soon met a brutal end courtesy of a first-round TKO from the buzzsaw that is Anthony Jonhson.

Roberts (12-3), meanwhile, watched as a three-fight win streak quickly flipped into a two-fight slump after consecutive losses to Claude Patrick and Rich Attonito less than a month apart. With a 3-3 record inside the Octagon, "Ninja" could very well be fighting for his UFC livelihood come January.

UFC on FX will be held in Nashville, Tennessee. Former lightweight contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller meet in the night's main event.
