ROUND 1 - Both fighters open orthodox and Bermudez driving into Brandao with tough strikes. Bermudez gets a single and lands a nice shot on top. Brandao stands, but is locked up in a front head lock. He escapes but eats a knee for his efforts. Right hand floors Bermudez, but he seems to recover quickly. Bermudez lands short body shots, but eats a left hook from Brandao. Brandao gets a takedown of his own and nearly gets the back, but Bermudez escapes. Bermudez rocks Brandao with a right hook. On top and pounding on Brandao, Brandao postures for an arm bar and incredibly gets it. What a back and forth. What a comeback.
