The fifth round of the HBO PPV main event between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito started with a pattern established with Cotto's movement, combination punching and targeting of Margarito's eye dominating the fight.
Margarito landed a left uppercut and Cotto came back with another combination and then a hard straight right hand.
Cotto has started to get back to the ropes a little more often with Antonio digging to the body and throwing uppercuts. Big left again by Cotto and Margarito howls at him. Margarito finally had a little bit of time with Cotto against the ropes again where Margarito was able to do his best work.
Still, Cotto did the best work of the round despite having moments where he was doing what would seem to be the wrong thing.
