Network television is about to get a glimpse into Chael's world.
According to UFC officials, a heavily-rumored match-up between middleweight contenders Chael Sonnen and Mark Munoz has been tapped for the co-main event of UFC on Fox 2. The winner of the contest will likely earn the next shot at UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
Following the announcement, both Sonnen and Munoz are slated to join light heavyweight headliners Rashad Evans and Phil Davis at the UFC on Fox 2 press conference on Wednesday, December 7th. The presser takes place at 1 p.m. CT at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, is free and open to the public and will be streamed live on UFC.com.
Sonnen (26-11-1) heads into the bout after a hard push for a rematch with Silva failed to come to fruition due to the champion's lingering injuries. The self-proclaimed "people's champion" last fought at UFC 136, where he thoroughly dominated rising contender Brian Stann en route to a second-round arm triangle choke.
Likewise, Munoz (12-2) enters the fray fresh from a hard-fought TKO victory over Chris Leben at UFC 138 that capped an impressive four-fight win streak through the 185-pound division. In the aftermath of the win, "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" respectfully requested a shot at Silva's middleweight belt.

Middleweight: Chael Sonnen vs. Mark Munoz
Bantamweight: Demetrious Johnson vs. Eddie Wineland
