UFC 142 Prelims Set To Air On FX

The entire six-bout undercard of UFC 142 will air live on Fox-owned FX, according to reports from MMA Fighting. The broadcast marks the UFC's debut on FX.

UFC 142 takes place January 12th at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

A lightweight bout between Sam Stout (17-6-1) and Thiago Tavares (16-4-1) headlines the night's undercard. Also slated for broadcast on FX, welterweights Mike Pyle (21-8-1) vs. Paulo Thiago (14-3), light heavyweights Stanislav Nedkov (12-0) vs. Fabio Maldonado (18-4), heavyweights Rob Broughton (15-7-1) vs. Ednaldo Oliveira (13-0-1), featherweights Felipe Arantes (13-4) vs. Antonio Carvalho (13-4), and featherweights Yuri Alcantara (26-3) vs. Michihiro Omigawa (13-10-1).

Brazilian featherweight champion Jose Aldo (20-1) takes on undefeated American challenger Chad Mendes (11-0) in the night's main event.

Fuel TV, another Fox subsidiary, will air the UFC 142 weigh-ins live on January 11th and a post-fight show immediately following the event. According to network officials, Fuel TV will also be the home of multiple "UFC Prelims" broadcasts throughout 2012, fulfilling the role once held by Facebook and Spike TV.
