The UFC is already planning a quick return to Canada.
According to reports from MMA Fighting, UFC 145 has been targeted for March 24th, 2012 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. A welterweight contest between Rory MacDonald and Che Mills has reportedly been tapped for the main card. UFC officials have yet to confirm the event or the bout.
MacDonald (12-1) was initially slated to meet Brian Ebersole at UFC 140, but had to withdraw with injury. The 22-year-old Canadian is one of the UFC's brightest prospects and has racked up consecutive wins over Nate Diaz and Mike Pyle.
Mills (14-4, 1 NC), the former Cage Rage British welterweight champion, heads into the bout fresh from a 40-second "Knockout of the Night" performance over Chris Cope in his UFC debut. The British veteran holds notable wins over Jake Hecht, Magomed Shikhshabekov, and DREAM welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis (x2).
