There's been seven rounds of boxing so far at Capital Showdown. Thus far through the main event between Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson, it's close now. A huge call by the referee to take a point away from Khan makes this very close on our scorecards. We have it 67-64 for Peterson through seven rounds of action.
ROUND 8 - Nice uppercut by Amir Khan to start the round. But again, Peterson going back to the ropes. Peterson is now trapping Khan in the corner and Peterson lands a gigantic right hook. Peterson ducking Khan's punches to drive him back. Khan fires off a four punch combo, but none land to effect. And again. But Peterson pressing him back and driving to the body over and over. Nice uppercut by Khan but Peterson now lands a left hook.
