UFC 140 Fight Card Breakdown: Mark Hominick Vs. Chan Sung Jung

A comprehensive breakdown of every aspect of UFC 140's featherweight bout between Mark Hominick and Chan Sung Jung. Thomas Myers previews the action and makes his predictions for the fight.

Don't blink.

Two of the most exciting featherweight fighters in the world -- Mark Hominick and Chan Sung Jung -- will meet inside the Octagon tonight (Dec. 10, 2011) at UFC 140: "Jones vs. Machida," which is set to take place at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

And it's likely going to be a fast and furious affair.

Both men are coming off ridiculously fun-to-watch fights, with Hominick most recently losing to UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo in a five-round war and Jung going back-and-forth with Leonard Garcia until he locked in perhaps the "Submission of the Year" late in the second round.

"Machine" and "The Korean Zombie" are remarkably durable, meaning that a (technical) knockout outcome is unlikely, but it certainly won't be for lack of effort ... or collective punches to the face. Jung possesses a significant advantage on the ground thanks to his innovative Brazilian jiu-jitsu training, while Hominick's technical stand up will be difficult for the South Korean fighter to deconstruct.

It is certainly teed up to be a barnburner and an emotionally-charged one at that for Hominick, who will return to caged combat for the first time since the untimely passing of his beloved mentor/trainer, friend and brother-in-law, Shawn Tompkins, earlier this year.
