UFC On Fox 2 Fight Card: Evan Dunham Vs. Paul Sass Slated For Chicago

A lightweight bout between recovering contender Evan Dunham (12-2) and British phenom Paul Sass (12-0) has been booked for UFC on Fox 2. UFC officials have yet to confirm the contest, but reports from ESPN UK state that both fighters have verbally agreed to meet.

Dunham, a Brazilian Jiu-Jistu blackbelt out of Throwdown Training Center, looks to reclaim his status in the 155-pound division after a two-fight losing streak to Melvin Guillard and Sean Sherk halted any hope of a title run. The 29-year-old has since rediscovered his winning ways with a unanimous decision over TUF 13 veteran Shamar Bailey at UFC Fight Night 25.

Sass, meanwhile, rides into the bout as one of the division's hottest prospects after notching two-straight first-round submission victories for his UFC debut. The undefeated 23-year-old kicked his career off in blistering fashion, finishing a record-breaking seven straight fights via triangle choke, and now claims eleven of his twelve wins by submission, with ten coming in the first round.

UFC on Fox 2 takes place on January 28, 2012 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans battles rising contender Phil Davis in the night's main event.

UFC on Fox 2 fight card:

Light heavyweight: Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis
