According to various reports, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is looking to host a welterweight clash between contenders Josh Koscheck and Carlos Condit. "Right now, Carlos wants to fight. He wants to fight on the same card as GSP and Diaz, so we'll see what happens. Koscheck has been offered (the fight)," White said.
Condit was originally slated to face B.J. Penn at UFC 137 before receiving a title opportunity against St. Pierre once Nick Diaz was removed from the main event. However, after St. Pierre was forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury and Diaz sufficiently defeat Penn to re-earn a title shot, Condit's future was left uncertain. The only promise made to the Greg Jackon-product was that he'd appear on the same card as St. Pierre vs. Diaz and it'd be against a meaningful contender.
The fight is not yet confirmed by the UFC. Stay tuned to this StoryStream for further information.
