The UFC is returning to network television, technically speaking.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will air four fights from the preliminary card of UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida on ION television. Heavy MMA was the first to break the news.

This is the second time UFC fights have aired on ION, the first being the preliminary card bouts of UFC 125. That event took place on January 1, 2011.

The ION Television broadcast will kick off at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. The following four bouts are scheduled for the broadcast:

Igor Pokrajac vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
Jared Hamman vs. Constantinos Philippou
John Makdessi vs. Dennis Hallman
Yves Jabouin vs. Walel Watson

The three other UFC 140 preliminary card bouts will air on Facebook:

Mark Bocek vs. Nik Lentz
Rich Attonito vs. Jake Hecht
Mitch Clarke vs. John Cholish

UFC 140 takes places December 10th at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and challenger Lyoto Machida.
