UFC 139 Results: Stephan Bonnar Controls Kyle Kingsbury En Route To Decision Victory

The eighth fight of the night and airing on Facebook at UFC 139 is Stephan Bonnar vs. Kyle Kingsbury. This is a light heavyweight fight, meaning 205 pounds. The referee in charge of the action is Dan Stell.

ROUND 1 - Both fighters open orthodox. Kingsbury lands a nice left hook and the two fighters clinch. Left hook from Bonnar stumbles Kingsbury just a little. Left hook now from Kingsbury. As the fighters clinch, Kingsbury's nose appears to be bleeding. Bonnar landing a few punches from the dirty box clinch. Bonnar manages to chase down a takedown and even moves to side control. Bonnar incredibly moves to mount and unloads some decent ground and pound.

ROUND 2 - Both fighters trading with equal effect, which is to say not that much. Bonnar ducks under a punch and moves to Kingsbury's back. Bonnar now takes the single and moves to side control. Bonnar with high cross-side control and Kingsbury isn't doing much at all. Bonnar struggling mightily to get mounted crucifix, but Kingsbury defending. Bonnar looking for mounted guillotine, but is back to half guard in a scramble. Bonnar just crushing Kingsbury on top here.

ROUND 3 - Bonnar catches a kick and uses it to get a body lock takedown. Kingsbury briefly stands before Bonnar gets another body lock takedown. Bonnar appears to be hunting everything from a north-south choke to a mounted crucifix. Kingsbury defending, but just enough to not get finished. Bonnar attempts a flurry at the end of the round.
