ROUND 1 - Both fighters standing orthodox. Tibau and dos Anjos taking turns with control from the center. Tibau launches a reactionary double and nearly gets pushed off just as dos Anjos hits the ground. Dos Anjos able to stand and can't take Tibau down off of a single, so abandons the effort. Decent uppercut partially lands for dos Anjos. Three-punch combination for dos Anjos allows him to get on Tibau's hips and land the double, but Tibau stands within seconds. Tibau reaches for a single and can't get it, but as dos Anjos turns to spin out gets nailed with a hard left from Tibau. Dos Anjos fails on a takedown attempt of his own.

ROUND 2 - Brief tape issue on the glove of Tibau temporarily halts the bout, but they quickly resume. Dos Anjos lands a right as Tibau fakes a single and tries to go high with a left. Dos Anjos in on a single, but can't get it and they separate. Dos Anjos punching his way into the clinch again, but Tibau changes levels and attempts a double. Nothing doing, dos Anjos stuffs it. They separate. Tibau landing several hard punches, mostly left hands and dos Anjos is reeling. Dos Anjos bleeding out of his right ear and is visibly wobbled.

ROUND 3 - Dos Anjos times a beautiful overhand left and lands cleanly. Tibau again tries to the single-to-left-hand combo and can't get it. And again. Tibau times a beautiful and hard blast double, now working from dos Anjos' butterfly guard. Dos Anjos stands and now is pressing Tibau into the fence. Dos Anjos trying to run the pipe on a single but Tibau is allowing none of it. Hard round to score.
