Strikeforce held their 20th Challengers series event last night at The Pearl at The Palm Resort, Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Former judo Olympian Ronda Rousey looked to continue her undefeated streak and Virginia-native Antwain Britt wanted to re-charge his career with a drop to middleweight.

The main card aired on Showtime.

While Rousey made quick work of her opponent, Britt was easily and quickly dispatched by Lumumbu Sayers.

Full results and write-ups of the main card are below. In the opening broadcast bout, former All-American wrestlers Nate James and Derek Brunson fought to a decision. It was Greg Jackson-product Brunson who was able to control the majority of the action over three rounds with top control, takedowns and general cage generalship. He earned a unanimous decision victory for his efforts.

All of the other fights ended in the first round, so here's Bloody Elbow's live blog of the rest of the fights on the card:

TJ Cook vs. Trevor Smith - Round 1 - Smith throwing some leg kicks and really covering up on the feet. Cook lands a punch and clinches up. Smith turns and gets full mount. Cook moves around trying to regain position and he does get half guard. Smith working from the top but not doing a whole lot of attacking. He tries a toe hold and Cook blasts him with a left hand off his back. Smith manages to lock in a guillotine choke and roll back to mount and Cook has to tap out. Trevor Smith wins by submission (guillotine choke), round 1.

Adlan Amagov vs. Anthony Smith - Round 1 - Smith flashes a jab. Smith with a wild hook and Amagov is looking for a takedown. He manages to whip Smith to the ground now and he's on top in Smith's full guard. Smith working his legs up very high. Smith with a body triangle while Amagov throws punches to the body from the top. They're restarted and both men are firing wild punches and Amagov is getting the better of it. Now a huge shot lands and Smith's legs give out and he falls to the ground. A few more punches on the ground and Smith is out and gushing blood. Violent, violent end. It was a wild right that knocked Smith down. Adlan Amagov wins by KO (punches), round 1.

Ronda Rousey vs. Julia Budd - Round 1 - Rousey charges forward and has Budd against the cage and now gets the takedown and is right to mount. Rousey moves to an armbar and it looks like Budd's elbow just dislocated. Wow. Ronda Rousey wins by technical submission (armbar), round 1.

Antwain Britt vs. Lumumba Sayers - Round 1 - They open up and Sayers opens up and he crushes Britt! Britt goes down hard! It's over, that was quick! Lumumba Sayers wins by TKO (punches), round 1. Under 30 seconds. Wow!
