- MMA Nation Editor-in-Chief Luke Thomas had a chance to sit down with Saturday's headliner, Dan Henderson, as he prepared for a reentry into the Octagon. Said Henderson: "I was probably thinking that I was in line for a title shot just coming out of Strikeforce as their champ."

- Undefeated middleweight prospect Chris Weidman stopped by Santa Claus' workshop to ask for his one true Christmas wish.

- Matt Roth sat down with Weidman to discuss his diet, UFC 139 opponent Tom Lawlor, injuries, and of course, the New Jersey fade. Said Weidman: "The kid who cuts my hair, he cuts the hair of the Situation from Jersey Shore so I had a true tape up. Last time was pretty good. This time I'm not gonna go that crazy."

- UFC lightweight contender Gray Maynard met with Air Force Reserve fans at Alaska Fighting (via Air Force Reserve).

- In case you missed it, the UFC released highlights from Thursday's pre-fight press conference. See what prompted Urijah Faber to refer to Dan Henderson as "a unique cat. He's like a pirate or something."

- Dallas Winston returns with more of the best previews in MMA. For your viewing pleasure: Stephan Bonnar vs. Kyle Kingsbury and Martin Kampmann vs. Rick Story.

- In the spirit of Movember, UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar has committed to growing the best darn mustache he can.

- Dana White spoke to Ariel Helwani on Thursday, hitting a number of compelling subjects. Perhaps most striking was his stance on Wanderlei Silva. Said White: "I'm just not going to sit around and watch a guy keep getting knocked out."

- Despite sporting one of the year's best top-to-bottom cards, UFC 139 is gliding under the radar. The Bloody Elbow crew sat down to ask, Did the Marketing Push For UFC on Fox Kill UFC 139's Buy Rate?

- Jesse Holland weighed-in with his own UFC 139 predictions. See who the MMA Mania scribe was referring to when he penned, "I'm not sure if the granite chin is still as legendary as it once was."

- Team AKA's Josh Koscheck, Jon Fitch, Daniel Cormier and Luke Rockhold donated their time to help serve the homeless at Martha's Kitchen in San Jose, California. Apparently, Luke was rather stingy with the Franks n' Beans.

- There's no doubting Cung Le's fan-friendly style. The Sanshou master employed some the most unique striking techniques in mixed martial arts en route to the Strikeforce middleweight title. Check it out as Fraser Coffeen breaks down Le's spinning back kick in another edition of Judo Chop.

- We'll leave you with Kenny Florian, Chael Sonnen and Franklin McNeil making their UFC 139 predictions on ESPN's MMA Live. Somehow Sonnen managed to drop this little doozy: "Bottom line is leg kicks aren't very effective ... Kicks are a secondary offense."
