DREAM officials announced their customary end-of-the-year blowout event. Peculiarly titled "DREAM: Fight for Japan. How are you! New Year! 2011", the show takes place on December 31st at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan and serves as a co-promotion for DREAM and K-1. MMA fights, kickboxing, pro-wrestling, and other assorted competitions have been promised to be on display. North American fans will be able to watch the broadcast on HDNet.
Six bouts have been announced for the card thus far. DREAM featherweight champion Hiroyuki Takaya (16-9-1) will defend his belt against former Shooto featherweight champion Takeshi Inoue (21-5) in the night's main event. Additionally, the final two rounds of the promotion's bantamweight tournament will be held, with the winners of Bibiano Fernandes (9-3) vs. Rodolfo Marques (14-1) and Antonio Banuelos (19-7) vs. Masakazu Imanari (24-9-2) facing off for the tourney crown.
Lastly, featherweights Tatsuya Kawajiri (29-7-2) vs. Kazuyuki Miyata (11-8) and welterweights Hayato Sakurai (35-12-2) vs. Ryo Chonan (20-12) are slated to meet.
