Following the explosive finale of UFC on Fox on Saturday night, UFC President Dana White announced the event's live gate and attendance from Anaheim, California. According to White, 14,019 spectators filled the sold-out Honda Center to witness the UFC's network debut, attracting a live gate of $1.1 million.
Fight fans in attendance were witness to one of the fastest title fights in UFC history, as Brazilian striking savant Junior dos Santos required just 64 seconds to dethrone Cain Velasquez and claim the UFC heavyweight title live on Fox.
"I have no words to say what I'm feeling," an emotional dos Santos explained afterward. "It's amazing, my life. I have a lot of good people around me. I think Cain Velasquez was for sure my toughest opponent. I was afraid to fight with him, you know, because he's very tough. I was not 100 percent for this fight, so I was scared."
