UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo defends his belt from veteran UFC title-chaser Kenny Florian tonight at UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III. Florian has fought for the 155lb belt twice, this will be his third attempt at UFC gold and his first as a featherweight.

Aldo is down a bit in the pundits' estimation, this is partly due to injuries and partly due to his last performance being less than spectacular. But Mark Hominick was a stylistic challenge for Aldo in a way that Florian is not.

Florian is the bigger man but unfortunately for Kenny, Aldo is basically better than him at everything he excels at. Florian's got mean leg kicks, Aldo will destroy your thighs. Florian throws sharp elbows, Aldo's elbows rip off your face, etc.

Look for Aldo to show who's boss against the aging Florian who will make himself proud with his courage and grit, but he just doesn't have the tools to beat Aldo.
