UFC 139: Bader Vs. Brilz, Lawlor Vs. Weidman Tapped For Spike TV 'UFC Prelims'

Two fights from the UFC 139 undercard have been selected for the Spike TV televised "UFC Prelims" special. A light heavyweight duel between Ryan Bader (12-2) and Jason Brilz (18-4-1), and a middleweight match-up between Tom Lawlor (7-3) and Chris Weidman (6-0) are on-tap for the one-hour November broadcast. UFC officials confirmed the news on Thursday.

Once on the verge on a title shot, Bader now finds himself on the comeback trail after dropping consecutive fights against Jon Jones and Tito Ortiz. He aims to rebound against Brilz, who is caught in his own two-fight slump after first falling to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 114, and then Vladimir Matyushenko in April.

Meanwhile, Lawlor makes his Octagon return after being sidelined since last October because of injuries. The popular "The Ultimate Fighter" veteran owns wins over C.B. Dollaway and Patrick Cote, and now looks to hand Weidman his first professional loss after the 27-year-old notched two quick victories since his UFC debut.

UFC 139 is slated for November 19th at the HP Pavilion Center in San Jose, California, and headlined by a five-round non-title light heavyweight fight between Mauricio Rua and Dan Henderson.
