Donald Cerrone
Donald Cerrone

Donald Cerrone's (17-3, 1 NC) explosive UFC crusade continued as the former WEC-contender blasted through highly-regarded German kickboxer Dennis Siver (19-8) just two minutes into the first round on Saturday night's UFC 137 Spike TV preliminaries. "Cowboy" bombarded his opponent with a lightning quick stand-up assault, staggering Siver multiple times before dropping him with a thundering kick to the jaw. Sensing weakness, Cerrone pounced onto Siver's back and immediately sunk in a textbook rear-naked choke, staking his claim into the upper-echelon of the 155-pound division in the process.

"I'm super happy," Cerrone coolly declared after the win. "I'm just here to keep fighting. Hell, I'm trying to get another fight in December, so if I can do that, that'd be great.

Bart Palaszewski vs. Tyson Griffin

Bart Palaszewski (34-13) stunned Tyson Griffin (15-6) with a devastating striking onslaught that ended their featherweight bout at just 2:45 of the opening round. The former WEC-standout started aggressive from the outset, staggering Griffin against the cage with a pair of short left hooks before unleashing a precision flurry that knocked the 27-year-old out cold.

"(My trainer) told me ‘if you hurt him, don't get nuts. Pick your spot, land them right.' So I did," Palaszewski ecstatically said. "I think I broke both my hands, but it's so worth it."
