Official weigh-ins for UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz were held on Friday at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and streamed live on MMA Nation. All main card fighters made weight, including welterweight headliners B.J. Penn (169) and Nick Diaz (170). Both men appeared focused and ready to fight, as the pair's staredown lasted half-a-second before things became too heated and UFC President Dana White was forced to separate the fighters. Diaz stormed off the stage while Penn message was short and sweet. "He's a good opponent," the Hawaiian declared. "It's time to fight."
Meanwhile, undercard featherweight fighter Tyson Griffin tipped in the scales three pounds over the 145-pound limit. He will have an additional hour to lose the weight.
Fans eager to witness Roy Nelson new physique will have to wait another 24 hours. The bearded heavyweight brawler weighed in at 252 pounds while sporting a comically over-inflated fatsuit-with-a-t-shirt combination.
