One last addition has finalized the card of UFC 140. Middleweight warriors Jared Hamman (13-3) and Constantinos Philippou (8-2, 1 NC) have agreed to duel at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. UFC officials announced the bout on Tuesday afternoon.
Hamman, a two-time 'Fight of the Night' winner, hopes to continue his newfound momentum after smashing C.B. Dollaway at UFC on Versus 5 en route to a second-round TKO victory in his middleweight debut. Known as "The Messenger", Hamman fights out of El Segundo, California and is a student of UFC veteran Vladimir Matyushenko.
Meanwhile, Philippou aims to build off his own success after earning the first UFC victory of his career with a split decision win against Jorge Rivera at UFC 133. The Ring of Combat veteran has now won three of his past four contests, including an 11-second knockout of Aung La Nsang last December.
UFC 140 is slated for December 10th at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The card is headlined by a light heavyweight championship bout between Jon "Bones" Jones and Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida.
