UFC 139 Fight Card: Matt Brown Vs. Seth Baczynski, Shamar Bailey Vs. Danny Castillo Added To Undercard

Two more bouts have been finalized for the undercard of UFC 139. A pair of "The Ultimate Fighter" veterans will duke it out as Matt Brown (12-10) takes on Seth Baczynski (14-6) in a welterweight contest. Also, TUF 13 contestant Shamar Bailey (12-4) will square off against former-WEC lightweight Danny Castillo (11-4). UFC officials announced the news on Tuesday morning.

Brown joins the event after being removed from the main card of UFC 138 due to an undisclosed injury to his intended opponent, John Hathaway. The 30-year-old returns to action for the first time since snapping a three-fight losing streak with a desperation win against John Howard in June. Prior to the slump, "The Immortal" had racked-up three consecutive victories, including TKOs of Pete Sell and James Wilks.

He now faces Baczynski, a 29-year-old who recently made a successful re-debut into the promotion as a late replacement for DaMarques Johnson at UFC Fight Night 25. Despite taking the bout on less than a month's notice, "The Polish Pistola" dominated Clay Harvison for six minutes before sinking in a fight-ending rear-naked choke. The surprise performance capped a three-fight win streak for Baczynski since being released by the UFC after The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale.

Meanwhile, Bailey hopes to rebound after dropping a unanimous decision to Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 25. The loss marked the third in four fights for the Chicago-native, and kicked-off an unsuccessful return to the lightweight division after competing at welterweight for the thirteenth season of "The Ultimate Fighter."

Across the cage, Castillo hopes to notch his second win inside the Octagon after transferring over from the WEC. Thus far the 32-year-old has been met with mixed results, stunning former lightweight contender Joe Stevenson in his UFC debut before dropping a unanimous decision to Jacob Volkmann in August.

UFC 139 is slated for November 19th at the HP Pavilion Center in San Jose, California. Headlining is a five-round non-title light heavyweight fight between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Dan Henderson.
