Jan 8, 2012 - Tyron Woodley (10-0) didn't take any chances with Jordan Mein (23-8) at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine. Thanks to his advantage in wrestling skills, Woodley didn't need to. He took down Mein in every round and held him down long enough to win a split decision.
Woodley has now won eight straight in Strikeforce's welterweight division. He didn't show a great deal of fire in the win over Mein, but he was never in any danger either. Woodley beat Tarec Saffiedine in January but may have to fight the Belgian striker again for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title.

That title was abandoned by Nick Diaz who jumped to the UFC where he'll be fighting for the interim UFC welterweight title at UFC 143. Woodley had long hoped for a shot at Diaz, who has struggled with wrestlers. He'll have to settle for Saffiedine.

Can Strikeforce work out a Bellator trade sending T-Wood for Alvarez? An Askren/ Wood fight would be a non-addictive cure for insomnia.
It's that the world is basically a forced labor camp from which the workers, perfectly innocent, are led forth by lottery, a few each day, to be executed.
I don't think that's just the way I see it. I think that's the way it is. Are there alternative views? Yes. Will any of them stand close scrutiny? No.

Askern is so such more exciting then Woodley you can’t even compare the two in my eyes.Atleast Askern postures up to throw strikes and looks to pass guard and get in a more dominant position, even his stand up and clinch striking looked better in the Jay Heiron fight, Woodley is a whole nother story his ability to bore you, is just a animal on to itself his blanket style of fighting. That was one of the worst fights I watched in a long time Woodley vs Mein
