UFC 145 Fight Card: TUF Winners Danzig And Escudero Meet In March

A lightweight bout between TUF 6 winner Mac Danzig and TUF 8 winner Efrain Escudero has been added to the fight card of UFC 145. Danzig announced the match-up via Twitter on Thursday. UFC officials have yet to confirm his announcement.

Always a tough out, Danzig (20-9-1) simply hopes to ensure his job security after dropping five of his last seven UFC contests. Despite his recent slump, the 32-year-old has managed to sandwich two victories in his last four outings, including a "Knockout of the Night" win against Joe Stevenson, between a pair of losses to Matt Wiman.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Escudero (18-4) makes a quick return after falling victim to Jacob Volkmann's stifling top control at UFC 141. The loss marked the end of a remarkably successful run in which the MMA Lab-product racked up a 5-1 record in various promotions including Bellator, Rage in the Cage, and Tachi Palace Fights.

UFC 145 takes place March 24th, 2012 in Montreal, Canada and is expected to be held at the Bell Centre. A headlining bout has not been announced.
