The injury bug has struck UFC 143 once again.
Announced Tuesday, "The Ultimate Fighter 7" winner Amir Sadollah (5-3) has been scratched from a scheduled bout against Jorge Lopez (11-2) for the February 4th event. Fellow TUF 7 alum Matt Riddle (5-3) has been tapped as a replacement opponent. UFC officials confirmed the switch via Twitter.
Riddle was previously slated to meet Luis Ramos on the undercard of UFC 141, however a fight night illness led to the bout's cancellation. Prior to the setback, the 25-year-old fell short in two straight decisions to Sean Pierson and Lance Benoist.
Lopez, meanwhile, heads into his second UFC contest after dropping a unanimous decision to Justin Edwards in his September debut. The loss snapped a ten-fight win streak that stretched back to 2008.
UFC 143 takes place on Super Bowl weekend at the Mandalay Bay Events Centers in Las Vegas, Nevada. An interim welterweight title bout between Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit is the night's main event.
