Jan 12, 2012 - Two featherweight bouts have been added to the fight card of UFC on Fuel TV 2.
Polarizing "The Ultimate Fighter 14" alum Akira Corassani makes his UFC debut against British veteran Jason Young and TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson introduces Dennis Siver to the 145-pound division in a rematch of their UFC Fight Night 21 battle. UFC officials confirmed the bouts to Swedish outlet mmanytt.se.
At 29 years old, Corassani (9-3) quickly became one of the most controversial figures of TUF 14 for his in-house antics and divisive fight with Dustin Neace. Nonetheless, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt stormed his way to the show's semi-finals where he nearly put away Dennis Bermudez before falling to a late first-round charge. Prior to the show, Corassani rattled off a four-fight win streak that was ultimately snapped by Paul Reed in February.
Across the cage, Young (8-5) likely fights for his job after dropping consecutive decisions to Michihiro Omigawa and Dustin Poirier . A former Cage Rage lightweight champion, "Shotgun" has four wins via stoppage and has yet to be knocked out in his professional career.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Pearson (13-5) looks to string together consecutive wins for the first time since early 2010 after earning a decision victory over Junior Assuncao in his featherweight debut. Prior to dropping in weight, the two-time "Fight of the Night" winner sandwiched a dominating win over Spencer Fisher between tough losses to Cole Miller and Edson Barboza.
He'll face Siver (19-8), a 32-year-old kickboxing specialist making his 145-pound debut after a two-minute TKO loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC 137. The eye-opening setback snapped a four-fight win streak that had pushed the Russian-German's name into title contention.
UFC on Fuel TV 2 takes place April 14th, 2012 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Fast rising Swedish light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson takes on Pride veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the night's main event.

Don't understand the rematch..
Pearson/Siver 1 was a good fight in all, but I don’t see the logic in Pearson welcoming Siver..looks like another hard fought decision loss for Siver
