A welterweight bout between Matt Riddle (5-3) and Luis Ramos (19-7) has been scratched from the UFC 141 undercard due to an undisclosed illness to Riddle. UFC officials tweeted the news late Friday afternoon.
Due to the delay, the UFC 141 Facebook undercard is now slated to begin at 7:15 p.m. ET/4:15 p.m. PT with a lightweight battle between Efrain Escudero and Jacob Volkmann. All Facebook undercard contests can be streamed live on the UFC's Facebook page.
The news is unfortunate for Riddle and Ramos, both of whom headed into the bout with their UFC status perilously relying on the result. A veteran of "The Ultimate Fighter 7," Riddle has dropped two straight decisions to Sean Pierson and Lance Benoist. Likewise, the 30-year-old Ramos was slated for a surprising second chance after falling to Erick Silva in just 40 seconds at UFC 134.
The revised UFC 141 fight card is listed below.
Main card (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET):
Heavyweight: Alistair Overeem vs. Brock Lesnar
Lightweight: Donald Cerrone vs. Nate Diaz
Light Heavyweight: Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
Welterweight: Johny Hendricks vs. Jon Fitch
Featherweight: Nam Phan vs. Jim Hettes
Preliminary card (Spike TV, 9 p.m. ET):
Welterweight: Dong Hyun Kim vs. Sean Pierson
Lightweight: Anthony Njokuani vs. Danny Castillo
Preliminary card (Facebook, 7:15 p.m. ET):
Featherweight: Manny Gamburyan vs. Diego Nunes
Lightweight: Junior Assuncao vs. Ross Pearson
Lightweight: Efrain Escudero vs. Jacob Volkmann
